A Snareweight Artist

It’s with great pleasure that I can announce that i’m now a member of the Snareweight Artist roster. I would like to extend a great thanks to Snareweight and to Bence at Rubix Drums for inviting me into the family.

I’ve been a huge fan of the M1b’s for a couple of years now (Having been recommended to try them by drum tech and vintage drum ace Joe Cox), and they’ve been a firm fixture on just about all of my snare drums, and having recently tried the larger M80, that too is an incredibly useful product, on both snares and floor toms. The revolutionary design and simplicity is what first drew me to try them out, and I was hooked from day one! Having a dampener that gives multiple options within the single product is ideal, especially for quick changes on stage and in the studio.

Like most drummers, i’ve used my share of gel dampeners over the years, but most of these have their issues, losing stickiness and becoming a magnet for dust and stick shavings, where the leather and metal construction of the Snareweights are much cleaner and will last far longer than any dampening gel i’ve tried. They were invaluable on the recent Boys Heart (30th Anniversary) sessions, as well as all of the work i’ve done in my home studio over the past year, and will continue to be a firm fixture on the kit when i’m back out on the road.

If you haven’t checked these out yet, then i’d highly recommend you do. See the links below for all of the product information. For information on all of the companies I endorse, click on the logos at the bottom of this page.
